Dr Tan is a Consultant Dermatologist and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in the UK. She completed her undergraduate medical degree and PhD research in the field of eczema at The University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Her general medical training was in Cambridge and London and she completed her dermatology specialist training in East Kent in 2020. From 2020-2023, she was a substantive NHS Consultant Dermatologist in East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust, where she ran three specialist services within the NHS, namely the Specialist Genital Dermatology Clinic for which she was the Lead Consultant, Cutaneous Allergy Patch Testing Clinic and the Teledermatology service for skin cancer referrals. She was also the Drugs and Therapeutic Lead Consultant for the Dermatology Department. Since 2023, she has been working as an independent provider in SE England. Qualifications:

Awards:
In 2019, Dr Tan represented the United Kingdom at Euroderm Excellence (an elite training programme for selected final year Dermatology residents across Europe).
She was also a recipient of the Postgraduate Allergy Scholarship from Imperial College London.
For her PhD research, Dr Tan was given the prestigious international postgraduate ORS award and she was also won a highly competitive University of Edinburgh College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine PhD Scholarship. Publications:
