Dr Ahmed Kazmi MBChB MRCGP DipClinDerm (Hons) MRCP (Derm) is a UK-trained consultant dermatologist who completed his training at the Royal London Hospital. In Melbourne Australia he undertook the prestigious Australasian Hair and Wool Research Society’s Fellowship in Alopecia and Hair Disorders, which he gained under the tutelage of eminent Professor Rodney Sinclair.
Dr Kazmi has expertise in hair and scalp disorders and is actively involved in research and teaching in this area. He is a current contributor to the British Association of Dermatologists’ upcoming guidelines for alopecia areata. He is a keen medical educator and has lectured for prestigious bodies including Barts and The London, Queen Mary University of London and The BMJ.
He treats all aspects of general adult and general paediatric dermatology. He has particular interests in acne, skin of colour dermatology and transgender medicine. His Australian skin cancer experience means he is able to offer comprehensive skin cancer screening.
Prior to training as a dermatologist, he was a fully qualified UK-trained GP and obtained diplomas in obstetrics and gynaecology (DRCOG), sexual and reproductive health (DFSRH), paediatrics (DCH) and geriatric medicine (DGM). This experience gives him a broad and holistic approach.
Dr Kazmi is a natural speaker of English and fluent speaker of Urdu, French and German. He speaks basic Spanish and Arabic. He loves providing non-judgemental and patient-centred care and looks forward to consulting you.
