Sunscreen by Osmosis Skin Care

Articles in the last few days have been appearing in the British press about a new ‘drinkable’ sunscreen produced by Osmosis Skin care.   It claims to protect against ultraviolet (UV) penetration by causing the skins molecules to vibrate in a special way.  It is noted with concern that the product relies on ‘patient testimonials’ to promote it’s effectiveness and is NOT endorsed by any dermatological organisations.

The reason it is not endorsed by dermatologists is because currently there are no scientific studies looking at the products efficacy.  Until these studies have been performed and the results show a protective effect against UV our dermatologists advise to treat the product with extreme skepticism.
