Dr Andrew Lock BMedSci Hons (Neuroscience), BMedSci, BMBS, MRCP UK (Dermatology) is a UK trained consultant dermatologist. He works as a substantive NHS dermatology consultant at the Homerton University Hospital in North East London, where he sees adults and children with a wide range of skin problems. He completed a degree in Medical Science at the University of Birmingham in 2002 and then went on to study Medicine at the University of Nottingham and graduated in 2007. Dr Lock started his dermatology career in Portsmouth in 2011 and this continued in London where he has worked at several teaching hospitals including the Royal Free Hospital and the Royal London Hospital.
During his career, Dr Lock has published articles on a wide range of skin conditions and is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists. He is currently part of the skin cancer team at the Homerton University Hospital and has an interest in skin cancer and dermoscopic examination of moles and other skin lesions.
Dr Lock has experience in all areas of dermatology in adults and children. He consults on all aspects of dermatology including moles, skin cancer, warts, eczema, urticaria (hives), psoriasis, acne, rosacea and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).
